Humanity In Absentia by P.J. Reed

Humanity In Absentia

Blue skies cover cities

mountains pierce through

once polluted clouds.

Ozone hole resewn.

Rivers run clear

deer sunbathe as

wild boar roam

and pumas stalk

the emptied streets.

Earth trembles less,

footprints are swept

away by summers

soft breeze.

Humanity in absentia.
