PRIORITY by Namrota Ghosh Chowdhury

PRIORITY

“Priority” as the very name suggests a singular word with plethora of fabricated notions. As you grow up your priorities keep changing its track. It shifts from one to other very randomly which makes your life and decision-making power further more complicated.

When you are a child your priority begins with a playful childhood which you later understand is a falsity. You are taught to play and learn. When you are a teenager your priority is to study. Students are often in dilemma about their career choices. You can’t give priority to each of your desired field together. They are inflicted to pursue a subject which one may dislike or which is quite opposite to one’s choice. When you are an adult life no more offers you a bed of roses it comes with thorns too. Now you eventually have to earn as you are grown up now. Did you realize when you grew up exactly? Your priority now is to find a job as soon as you seek your priority, you are expected to shift your priority towards your settlement that is marrying and becoming a wife or a husband. Then you have to prioritize between your job, family, children and then if you get time to pursue your hobby that is another good thing. Now you have to make your children capable enough to stand on their feet and earn and settle. Thus, the very same cycle repeats. Now last but not the least you are growing old and you need to contribute to the society. Humorously enough now you decide which is your priority. Ridiculous right? Its not easy to choose a particular thing and to prioritize it. Life is short, whole life time will be less to identify what is important for you. First give yourself priority. you are the best counsellor. If you search the true meaning of priority it is the state of being what you are. This word is easy to say but its expectation never ends. It is endless and deep like an ocean. Your action expresses your priority.

“when you know what’s most important to you, making decision is quite simple”- Anthony Robbins
