THE CHOICE
By Aaron Pamei
The division bell tolls
The battle has begun,
Choose your side
Gear up for the fight
There's no place in between
You'll only be caught in the crossfire
No time to suffer or blame
For the time is truly upon us...
How long we've waited
For sanity to prevail,
That fairness of the heart
Will kill the insidious flame,
But now the line has been drawn
And the dye has been cast
And millions await their fate
As the nation changes its color.
Power changes hands in time
And as surely as the seasons turn
We shall see another clime
But when the battle is done
And the dust and din have settled
Will we have lost the soul
Of the nation that nourished us all
Leaving us empty and unrecognisable.
