An Unknown Evening by Kishore Kumar Khilla

An Unknown Evening

In an unknown evening

I was with her at beach

Tides were touched our feet

Her smile hanged on my eyes

Then I surrendered my heart

When her eyes say love me the best.

I saw a new heaven in her eyes

And lived hundred lives for a while

It’s all beyond my control, my attitude

While she merged in my breath.

While I whispered to my Beloved

I saw the shyness of the sun

Stars murmuring to the moon

And Nature stands with-

All the envious music in its tone.

I prayed to God that

I have hundred delights

Let the waves stay as they are

Let the time stand still, but

Loss is common to the race

And I lost that evening

Hope, to-morrow it will come.
